We’re Here for You, Too
Hearing that your partner is pregnant can feel shocking, confusing, or even exciting. You want to help, but you might be unsure what to say or do first. Even when these next moments feel uncertain, there are steps you can take to feel more supported.
At ABC Pregnancy Care Center, we offer no-cost, confidential support tailored to men. Your voice matters, and we’re here to address your specific challenges and needs.
How You Can Support Her
Begin by being a calm and comforting presence. Right now, emotions are likely high, and your partner needs support now more than ever.
Listen to her needs, ask how she’s feeling, and offer to attend the ultrasound appointment and pregnancy options consultation together. While it’s her decision, she may want to make it together. Gathering information alongside her can help her to feel supported during a particularly vulnerable time.
Support Designed for You
ABC is here for you. Our Fatherhood Program provides:
- One-on-one conversations with a client advocate about your role, questions, and next steps
- A dedicated Fatherhood coordinator who offers individual and group support for men
- Coaching on communication, co-parenting, budgeting, and goal-setting
- Referrals for jobs, counseling, housing, and community resources
Keep Learning and Leading
Our prenatal and parenting classes are open to dads, too. You’ll learn practical newborn care, safe sleep practices, budgeting techniques, and ways to support your partner’s physical and emotional well-being.
If adoption becomes the plan, we’ll help you understand your role and rights. And if your partner is seeking abortion information, we’ll help you both understand the risks and side effects to make an educated decision.
Your Next Step
Strong partners are essential during this time, and what you’re feeling matters, too. Schedule a no-cost, confidential appointment today to learn how we can help you navigate this time.
